Philippine entertainment giant ABS-CBN officially seals a landmark deal with Global TV Content for the format rights of the successful top-rated Filipino drama series “Pangako Sa’Yo” (“The Promise”) to be aired in Mexico. This marks the second time a format adaptation of the show has been sold to new territory since Cambodia in 2013.
Making strides in the international market, “Pangako Sa’Yo” (“The Promise”) was also awarded at the 2011 Asian TV Awards where it was commended for best long form direction. The series has already been sold to more than 20 other territories . “Pangako Sa’Yo” (“The Promise”) tells the tale of two lovers’ conviction to stay together as they overcome various obstacles that seek to tear them apart.
