ABS-CBN maintains its solid track record as the leader in Philippine television for the month of May according to Kantar Media. Along with comprising nine of the Top 10 most-watched shows in the country, the network garnered a 44% audience share as compared to its closest competitor’s 32%.
Leading the way since its debut in 2015 is smash-hit action-drama “Brothers” ("Ang Probinsyano"). Following the exploits of a tough crime-fighting policeman, the series continues to wear its badge as the number one primetime drama program nationwide. With a total average rating of 40.3% beating its competitor’s 17.5%, it is also the top program for the month of May.
On the other hand, “Dolce Amore”, a story of two young wandering souls that were brought together by destiny, remains the most-watched romantic drama series with an average rating of 33.8% more than half of its competition’s 15.5%. Moreover, the series claims the title of the most-viewed program for the month of May on iWant TV – ABS-CBN’s OTT platform which recorded a total of 20 million page views for the same month alone.
Meanwhile, late-primetime series “The Story of Us”, an emotional tale of childhood best friends turned lovers, achieved an average rating of 18.3% compared to its competitor’s 13.7%. With its much-anticipated series finale airing this week, the romance-drama also continues to surge in viewership and online trending topics.
