Mia is a night-shift security guard whose special skills include firearm handling and hand-to-hand combat, specifically the discipline of arnis. At the male-dominated security agency she works in, Mia is seen as intimidating and headstrong.
But Mia does have a soft spot. Her whole world is held together by her son, Xavier. She is a single mother who chooses the night shift so that she can be with her son during the day. She literally works around the clock to make sure that her son never feels that there is something lacking in his life.
When her son's life is endangered by a national epidemic, how far is Mia willing to go to keep her son alive?
Dado is a police detective and Mia's father. He was also her arnis coach growing up. Dado was frequently assigned to different places and was rarely home during her childhood, and things took a turn for the worst when he didn't come home by the time her mother passed away. Because of this, Mia was forced to stop her schooling and learned to tough it out on her own. She eventually found out that Dado had another family. It's been almost a year since he tracked Mia down and finally met his grandson, Xavier. Dado purposely settled down somewhere in proximity to his daughter's community, but the two continue to share a strained relationship as Mia has yet to accept her father back into her life. But two months away from his retirement, Dado is assigned to a case that Mia has stakes in. Through this case, will Dado finally be able to reconcile with his daughter?

She idolized Claudio and went on her way to become a doctor. After graduating from medical school, Delilah became Claudio's right hand.
