Dey and Lala are childhood best friends, each with a daughter of their own and a shared passion for their shoe business. But their friendship is tested when Ian, Lala’s husband, steals from their company and flees the country. Later, Dey succumbs to illness as she and her husband Joey are unable to afford her hospital bills. Devastated, Joey cuts all ties with Lala and her family.

Years pass and their children lead opposite lives. Dey's daughter, Esang, has a struggling, yet close-knit family. Meanwhile, Lala's daughter Princess, grows up wealthy but lonely from rarely seeing her busy mother.

Destined to be best friends just like their mothers, Esang and Princess become schoolmates and are later brought together by a dog named Pencil. They forge a deep bond after being rescued from a terrifying incident, unaware of both their parents’ past.

Will Esang and Princess’ friendship be the key to heal the hurt between their families?
Or will old wounds break their bond, just like their mothers before them?
